Industrial Hygiene Operative– Manufacturing / Fabrication Environment

Location: Nottingham
Pay Rate: £13.00 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
(30-minute unpaid lunch break + 2 x 15-minute paid breaks)

We are recruiting an experienced Industrial Cleaner to work with our well-established client based in Nottingham. This role is within a manufacturing environment, where there will be metal debris, dust, and general industrial residue so it will involve a full factory clean, including hoovering and wiping down surfaces up to head height, using specialist industrial cleaning equipment. An ATEX-rated vacuum cleaner will be used due to the nature of the environment.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Thorough cleaning of the factory floor, machinery exteriors, and work areas

  • Hoovering using an ATEX industrial vacuum cleaner, including bag changes and basic maintenance

  • Wiping down surfaces, fixtures, and fittings up to head height

  • Removal of metal dust, swarf, and fabrication debris

  • Working safely in an industrial manufacturing environment

  • Using a podium or access equipment where required

  • Following all site health & safety procedures at all times

  • Maintaining a clean, tidy, and hazard-free workspace

Requirements

  • Previous experience in an industrial, manufacturing cleaning role (or similar environment)

  • Experience using industrial vacuum cleaners

  • Comfortable working around metal dust, debris, and heavy-duty equipment

  • Confident using a podium or similar access equipment

  • Good understanding of health & safety in industrial settings

  • Reliable, hardworking, and able to work independently

  • Safety boots/shoes are required
